Workshops and Classes

  • From time to time, Centre Pieces sponsors workshops and classes. The Guild has a fund to make it possible to attend these workshops if a Guild member is unable to afford the full cost. Upcoming Workshops and Classes

  • May Day Meeting/Workshop - Wednesday, May 15, 2019, 9am-3pm, St John's UCC, Boalsburg
"Getting Started with the Lancaster Diamond" Workshop led by Ann Holte.
  • This diamond-shaped block found in the Lancaster Diamond Sampler Quilt is unique to a small area of northern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, from the mid-1800s. The "girl cousins" who lived in the area and sewed together seem to have invented a way to produce this shape by folding paper. Ann will describe the block's history, how it is constructed today, as well as variations of the block.

This is a 6-hour workshop with time for lunch. Workshop is limited to 15 participants. The fee for the workshop is $30. Please contact Susan DeMetrick to sign up for the workshop and with any questions.

    Workshop Details and Supply List

Social time will begin at 12 noon followed by a business meeting at 12:30. Please bring your lunch.

Reminder: Please wear your name tag so our members (both old and new) can greet you by name!
